Verdict
Atenogenes García has made himself the producer to beat on this axis of the karwinskii family, and this ensamble is his cleanest argument. Compared to a Real Minero madrecuishe, this is more aromatic; compared to Mezcalosfera's karwinskii blends, it's better built. The consensus at 4.4 is right and we'd nudge it up a tick for sheer poise. If it's on the shelf, take it.
If bicuishe is the question, madrecuishe is the answer – and here they're asked together
Tasting notes
Nose: River stone – then cucumber skin, green herbs
Palate: Madrecuishe adds the density bicuishe lacks; bicuishe adds the lift madrecuishe sometimes needs. At 48.2% the blend lands where the family wants to live, dense, wet, vividly mineral
Finish: Long, dry, faintly saline
The bottom line
Buy it. One of the better karwinskii ensambles on the shelf right now
