Verdict
Chino is a vocabulary agave the specialty-importer market has barely started bottling regularly – 5 Sentidos is one of the few producers applying real discipline to a variety most drinkers have never met. At 45.1% the SLP regional signature comes through clearly, and the bottle reads as the agave speaking rather than the producer interpreting. Buy it for the vocabulary lesson and the caliber.

Nose: Pine, wet stone, dry herb, a faint floral high note and trace of mineral
Palate: Lean at 45.1% – chino's specific character intact, with the SLP regional signature coming through clearly
