Verdict
We approach six-agave ensambles with suspicion – usually the palette becomes muddy and each component loses its claim. García is the rare maestro who can hold this many threads without fraying, and the result lands like a tour of his own site rather than an anthology. Compared with a Real Minero ensamble, it's a touch less structural but more expressive.
Six agaves in one glass is a flex, but the liquid is more than the gesture
Tasting notes
Nose: Layered stone, then green melon, wildflower, faint cocoa, cooked agave, citrus pith
Palate: Putting six agaves – including tobala and tepextate, into one still is a risky gesture; García pulls it off by keeping the proof at 47.4% and letting the karwinskii agaves build the frame while tobalá and tepextate add high notes
Finish: Very long, layered, mineral
The bottom line
Hunt it. A reference for what a multi-agave ensamble can be when executed right
