Verdict
Berta Vásquez's range demonstrates that producer discipline isn't a constant across agaves, her espadín is defines the upper tier, her tobalá at 45% is credible mid-tier work. The hand that nails cultivated espadín is not always the hand that nails wild tobalá, and Agua del Sol lets the distinction show rather than papering over it. Buy her espadín first; this one second if you want the full range.

Tasting notes
Nose: Wildflower, sweet smoke, ripe citrus
Palate: Aromatic. At 45%, floral but not as textured as the reference tobalás
Finish: Floral, clean. Long
The bottom line
A legitimate mid-tier tobalá
