Verdict
Standard commercial ensamble work, nothing wrong, nothing distinguishing. Bruxo's numbered range is engineered for breadth over depth, and the No. 4 is the middle entry of that strategy. Banhez Ensamble is the same price and meaningfully better; buy that for serious drinking, keep the No. 4 only if you need Bruxo's distribution on a cocktail list.
A working commercial ensamble at ensamble-category economics
Tasting notes
Nose: Cooked agave, then green pepper, faint smoke, wildflower and a trace of dried herb
Palate: Medium-bodied at 46%. The barril-cuishe-espadín combination is a reasonable ensamble structure, but at this proof none of the three agaves gets full expression, the composition reads as more additive than developmental, with each agave visible separately rather than integrated into a coherent whole
Finish: Medium-long, dry, with a slow herbal fade
The bottom line
Banhez Ensamble outperforms at similar money
