Verdict

A commercial espadín. Casta Tribal's entry at 40% from Miahuatlán is the distribution-tier bottle – Miahuatlán can produce genuinely strong mezcal (see Real Minero, Lalocura, 5 Sentidos' Miahuatlán-sourced bottles), but Casta Tribal's entry doesn't deliver any of that village potential. Commercial proof applied to a village that deserves better. No consensus; reading at 2.5. Skip. The higher-proof Casta Tribal releases are the bottles to consider.

Miahuatlán espadín at 40% is underbuilt
