Verdict
The brocha-ixtero ensamble teaches what the single-variety Chacolos set up: two heirloom agaves sharing a Jalisco regional dialect while contributing distinct structural register. Drink the single-variety versions first, then this one, the ensamble rewards the vocabulary. A Chacolo for drinkers already inside the project.
Two Jalisco heirloom agaves, one bottle, and both legibly present
Tasting notes
Nose: Pine with dry herb, a faint floral high note and trace of citrus
Palate: Lean and balanced at 47.4%. Two Jalisco heirloom agaves in one bottle produces a composition where neither crowds the other; Chacolo's blending judgment shows in how the brocha and ixtero amarillo find a shared Jalisco regional register without losing their individual distinctions
Finish: Cooling, with a slow pine fade. Stays very long
The bottom line
A solid Jalisco ensamble
