Verdict
This is the bottle Cómplice makes for people who don't want mezcal. Extra añejo at 39% ABV is a category error dressed in gift wrap, the aging dilutes what the low proof didn't already. Don't. Buy a brandy instead, or climb up to Cómplice's tepeztate where the brand actually distinguishes itself.

Tasting notes
Nose: Heavy vanilla, then brown sugar, sawdust
Palate: Agave is a rumor at this ABV and this much barrel; what you taste is softened oak and sugar
Finish: Medium, sweet, woody
The bottom line
Skip, decisively
