Verdict
Amatengo is one of the villages to track across Comunidad's numbered range – its karwinskii and tepextate bottlings keep clearing the small-import bar without the narrow-distribution pricing. The tepextate's 25-year character lands cleanly at 47.3%. Buy the Amatengos when you see them; the village is doing the hard work, and Comunidad is one of the few labels bottling it.
