Verdict
Minas clay-still production + sierrudo (a rare karwinskii most catalogs don't carry) at 50.1% is the kind of combination the specialty-importer model exists to deliver. Terroir and method both contributing distinctively, neither drowning the other. Hunt it; sierrudo at Minas caliber doesn't show up twice.
Sierrudo at Minas caliber
Tasting notes
Nose: Dark honey, hot stone, warm earth, a faint floral undertone and trace of dried herb
Palate: Dense and mineral at 50.1% – clay-still sierrudo from Santa Catarina Minas. The combination is uncommon: sierrudo is rarely bottled single-variety, and Minas's clay-still tradition produces a specific textural weight that copper stills can't replicate
Finish: Drying, warm, with a slow iron-tinged fade
The bottom line
Worth chasing
