Verdict

Five wild agaves is a producer statement; it's rarely a coherent bottle. Convite's single-agave wilds outperform this ensamble because five voices at 46% don't all get heard – the individual components are legitimate, the sum doesn't quite add. A flight pour, not a bottle to keep around.

Five wild agaves is too many most of the time

Tasting notes

Nose: Green herb, dark honey, hot stone, faint smoke

Palate: Busy at 46% – five agaves negotiating for space, with a few clear notes surviving

Finish: Layered, slightly uneven

The bottom line

Interesting for a tasting flight. Not a destination bottle
