Verdict
The Convite tobalá is the bottle that retroactively explains why anyone pays attention to Convite. Cosme Hernández's palenque at full discipline, not the anemic Convite Esencial version – delivers a tobalá with the aromatic-mineral arc the category expects and mid-tier bottles rarely land. The Esencial is the trap; this is the reason to forgive it.
