Verdict
Another madrecuishe at 47% that shows the agave in silhouette instead of full shape. Every madrecuishe under 48% tells roughly the same story about the category's chronic proof-choice problem, and Cruz de Fuego's version doesn't break the pattern. Buy Vago's or Mezcalosfera's madrecuishe for the same money and get the full bottle.
Madrecuishe at 47% underperforms
Tasting notes
Nose: Dark honey. Then warm earth, mineral damp and a faint leather undertone
Palate: Medium-dense, madrecuishe asks for more structural proof support than 47% delivers
Finish: Drying, with a slow earth fade
The bottom line
Vago or Mezcalosfera outperform
