Verdict
Everardo's name on a Cuentacuentos label has become the tell, buy when you see it. This Mitla tepeztate runs at the ABV the agave actually needs, and the vegetal peak comes forward without having to shout. Reach for it over the Serafín sibling if you want more mineral and less sweetness. Hunt, don't hesitate.
The proof is the point; 48.56 is what tepeztate wanted
Tasting notes
Nose: Bell pepper, dry mint, river rock, orange peel
Palate: Everardo Garcia Salvador's tepeztate runs lean and aromatic, the higher proof carries the vegetal peak of marmorata without the sugar-crash most mid-proof tepeztates produce
Finish: Mineral, herbaceous. Very long
The bottom line
A single-maestro tepeztate at honest proof, exactly the play
