Verdict
Serafín's espadín is the house star; his tepeztate is the thoughtful sibling. It's built rounder than Everardo's version and the softer terroir shows. Buy it if you want a gentler introduction to marmorata, or pour both side-by-side to understand what named-maestro releases are actually telling you. Comparison is the whole point of this catalog.
Same producer, different varietal, different argument
Tasting notes
Nose: Green herbs, lime pith, honeyed melon, a flinty note
Palate: 47.89% ABV, San Dionisio Ocotepec terroir – Maximiliano García Gerónimo's tepeztate reads rounder and sweeter than the Mitla bottle, with the bell-pepper note dialed down
Finish: Long, herbal, clean
The bottom line
A solid-mannered tepeztate; the Everardo is more specific
