Verdict
Mexicano (rhodacantha) and espadín in a single bottle ought to produce something interesting, and this release flattens both. Francisco García León's cuish and tobasiche in this same catalog are proof the maestro can compose, this ensamble just isn't one of them. Pass in favor of the Pantaleón López horno release, which shows what ensambles are capable of here.
A bottle whose ingredients outperform its concept
Tasting notes
Nose: A light citrus, a muted vegetal note
Palate: 49% ABV can't rescue a blend that doesn't know what it wants – Francisco García León's Miahuatlán hand is steady but the composition reads muddled
Finish: Clean, unremarkable, medium
The bottom line
Skip; better ensambles exist under the same label
