Verdict
The Cuish maestras deserve the distribution their bottles warrant. Reina Sánchez's tepextate is among the category's reference work, the 50% proof gives the agave the structural room most tepextate bottlings don't commit to, and Sánchez's hand delivers the floral-mineral arc across the palate with concentration that only disciplined production enables. Consensus matches. Benchmark tepextate.

Tasting notes
Nose: Wildflower, hot slate, white pepper, cooling herb and a faint dried-lavender undertone
Palate: Electric and textured. At 50%, tepextate at its upper bound. Sánchez's hand pushes the agave's 25-year agronomy to the proof where it's fully supported and fully expressive; the floral-mineral arc develops with the kind of concentration that only defines the upper tier production delivers
Finish: Endless. Drying, cooling, floral, with a slow iron-tinged fade
