Del Maguey Cuixe

Cuishe in the Del Maguey voice – clean, legible, a touch too tame

Verdict

Del Maguey's cuishe is a legitimate introduction to the agave, just not the deepest expression. The Vago, Lalocura, and Rey Campero cuishes push the style harder at higher proofs; Del Maguey polishes it down for broader drinkability, which is the house bargain across the range. At 45% the agave's edges are softer than drinkers calibrated to specialty producers will expect. Consensus matches. Fine as a gateway; climb the ladder for the full karwinskii experience.

Approachable cuishe for drinkers still calibrating on wild agaves

Tasting notes

Nose: Green pepper, wet stone, mineral damp

Palate: The cuishe signature is there, lean, herbal, saline – but at 45% ABV the agave's edges are softer than in the reference bottlings

Finish: Cooling, dry – medium-long

The bottom line

A gateway cuishe. Move up the ladder from here
