Verdict
Del Maguey's marketing lives on Chichicapa and SLDR; the interesting bottles in the range are the villages that don't get the posters. San Pablo Ameyaltepec runs more mineral than either flagship, and the pizorra-tobalá ensamble is tighter than either. If you've learned the main villages, this is the one that tells you why Del Maguey's village-specific thesis keeps mattering.

Tasting notes
Nose: Wildflower up front. Warm citrus, dry herb, mineral damp underneath
Palate: Bright and layered at 47% – the village's production style is more wet slate than Chichicapa or SLDR
Finish: Cooling, drying
The bottom line
A strong Del Maguey village bottle for range completists
