Verdict
Not at Dixeebe's elaboration, but a full pechuga experience rather than the ghost of one – 48% is enough proof to carry the seasoning structurally, and Don Lorenzo's production discipline keeps the recipe legible. Buy it as a mid-tier pechuga that respects the format; the Dixeebe or Del Maguey are the step up when budget allows.
A pechuga at 48% behaves differently than one at 45%, and the proof alone explains most of the gap
Tasting notes
Nose: Warm spice with almond, faint cured meat, a trace of dried orange
Palate: Balanced at 48%. The pechuga treatment hits as more than decoration – the extra proof over the 45% pechugas gives the fruit and protein ingredients room to develop
Finish: Warm, savory, with a late-arriving mineral note. Stays long
The bottom line
A respectable Don Lorenzo pechuga
