Verdict
For a first tobalá, Chichicapam is the right postcode, and Berta Vasquez is a quieter version of what Banhez does louder. El Destilado's house legibility suits potatorum – everything reads, nothing shouts. Buy it if you want tobalá without the tariff you pay for Jolgorio or Real Minero.

Tasting notes
Nose: Honey with orange zest, violet
Palate: Chichicapam is a tobalá address, and Berta Vasquez's version trades on the district's honeyed aromatics. 46% delivers all the perfume it needs; the palate is mineral under the sweetness rather than sugary
Finish: Floral, a whisper of stone. Stays medium-long
The bottom line
A buy if Banhez tobalá is already familiar
