Verdict
Pedro Vasquez's arroqueño for Jolgorio is one of the bottles that argues hardest for the whole project. It's not subtle and it's not trying to be, it's what arroqueño tastes like when the producer doesn't compromise.
Some bottles earn their shelf space. This one earns the price tag
Tasting notes
Nose: Dark honey, hot stone, bay leaf, cooked plum
Palate: Genuinely heavy, arroqueño's density amplified by single-village production. 50% doesn't feel hot; it feels necessary
Finish: Drying, warm. Stays endless
The bottom line
A defines the upper tier arroqueño. Expensive. Worth it
