Verdict
Guerrero tobalá runs drier than Oaxacan, less honey-sweet, more mineral-floral lift. El Yope renders the regional distinction cleanly without overreaching in either direction. Buy it next to Del Maguey's Oaxacan tobalá for the cross-state comparison; the regional distinction is sharper than most drinkers notice when the bottles are kept apart.
A mid-tier Guerrero tobalá that teaches the regional profile without overreaching
Tasting notes
Nose: Wildflower with warm citrus
Palate: The Tobalá reads cleanly and the producer's production is clean; aromatic at 46%
