Verdict
Pass on this one if you're looking for mezcal, the ginger earns its place, the strawberry reads as candy, and the mezcal shows up only as a rumor. It's a competent canned mule at the High Noon tier, no more. Judged against Vida or anything else in the actual category, it doesn't meaningfully participate.
Not mezcal in any useful sense, but a reasonable canned mule
Tasting notes
Nose: Strawberry, fresh ginger, a faint mezcal smoke underneath, trace of cane sugar
Palate: Sweet and a touch sharp at 5%. Functions as intended, a summer drink that happens to have a splash of mezcal doing what vodka would do in a traditional mule
Finish: With a slow ginger-strawberry fade, short
The bottom line
Skip as mezcal; fine as a canned mule
