- Producer: Esfuerzo Mezcal

Verdict
Pour this alongside a Banhez Tobalá and you'll find the slight mid-palate thinness the Esfuerzo version can't quite paper over – where a bottle the category aims at tobalás build density, this one plateaus. Still a legitimate bottle at appropriate money, and a reasonable first tobalá if nothing better is within reach. Consensus 3.5 matches; the math is honest.
A workable tobalá at proof the agave can use
Tasting notes
Nose: Wildflower with ripe citrus
Palate: Aromatic at 47.10% – tobalá's aromatics survive the proof and the producer's production stays clean
Finish: Long, floral, drying, with a slow honey fade
The bottom line
Fine as a tobalá category introduction
