A mezcal brand that would rather be a wellness supplement. GEM&BOLT's damiana infusion turns a competent San Dionisio espadín into something closer to an aperitif gimmick – all the problems of flavored vodka in a mezcal jacket. Skip it and buy a Vago ensamble for the same money.

Nose: Herbal tea up front. Light smoke, synthetic sweetness underneath

Palate: Damiana turns the espadín into a cloying, vaguely medicinal liquid. The 44% is fine, the concept isn't – the agave character is buried under herbal sweetness

Finish: Syrupy, herbal. Stays short
