Verdict
A decent gin. A negligible mezcal. GaD Gin makes a fine Negroni variant and a passable G&T with a smoky wink; judged as a mezcal, it's beside the point. Buy it for the bar cart, don't taste it looking for agave.

Tasting notes
Nose: Juniper, citrus peel, light smoke, cooked agave
Palate: The mezcal base gives the gin a faint smoky underbelly; the juniper does most of the aromatic work. 45% is gin-appropriate, not mezcal-appropriate
Finish: Piney, clean – medium
The bottom line
A buy only as a gin
