Verdict
Mixteca espadín is its own conversation, drier, more mineral, less cooked-sweet than Valles Centrales. Guia del Alma delivers it cleanly; 44% is on the conservative side but the Mixteca register is there. Buy if you collect regional expressions.

Tasting notes
Nose: Green note over cooked agave, herb, light mineral, dry grass
Palate: San Francisco Nuxaño is a Mixteca address worth knowing. Juan Antonio Coronel's espadín reads cleaner and drier than Valles Centrales versions at 44% – a little narrow, but distinctive
Finish: Clean, stone, medium
