La Higuera's wheeleri is the bottle in the line that does the most convincing work for sotol as a category – herbal, fruit-lifted, balanced without being timid. It won't out-complex the Sotoleros single-sotolero wheeleri bottles, but at its tier the profile is well-calibrated. Reach for it when you want to hand someone a sotol that won't scare them off.
