Verdict
La Venenosa's 10-year costa anniversary is the bottle that consolidates the brand's case – ten years in, Morales has the chico aguiar relationship dialed, and this selection is noticeably more focused than the standard costa. Real Minero's milestone releases work similarly. Hunt it; it's limited. Consensus 4.3; we rate 4.5 for what it represents.
The costa finally arguing for itself at the level the Amula implied it could
Tasting notes
Nose: Tropical fruit, coastal herb, wet stone, a faint salt
Palate: Concentrated and layered at 46.3%. Anniversary releases can be glorified labels; this one drinks like a curated bottling – the chico aguiar character is at peak readability, and the production team clearly picked the best barrels
Finish: Tropical-saline, slow mineral fade
The bottom line
Worth the chase. Anniversary costa is peak Venenosa on shelves
