Verdict
La Venenosa Los Gigantes is a curiosity entry in the catalog – macho is uncommon enough that the bottle has value for documentation, but the proof is again fighting the agave. At 46% this would read as a statement; at 43.5% it's a record. Consensus 3.9; we rate 3.5.
Macho agave deserves the proof the bottler didn't quite commit to
Tasting notes
Nose: Green herb walks in first. Then cooked fiber, a mineral trace, faint tropical
Palate: Middle-weight and clean at 43.5%. Macho is a rarely-seen wild Jalisco agave; Morales's production keeps it legible, though the 43.5% proof sits just below where it wants to be for structural weight
Finish: Green, cool close. Medium
The bottom line
Fine. Amula or Costa are the better first Venenosas
