Verdict

Legendario Domingo Ensamble is a competent if not revelatory blend – Pérez's cut is clean, the three agaves are credible choices, but the integration doesn't rise to the brand's best single-agave releases. Consensus 3.5; we agree.

A serviceable ensamble that doesn't quite reach the brand's single-agave work

Tasting notes

Nose: Mesquite, then green herb, cooked fiber, a mineral damp

Palate: Middle-weight and integrated at 47%. The three-agave ensamble runs a shade muddy – the individual voices don't hold as clearly as Jarquín's or Parejo's three-way blends – but the production is technically clean

Finish: Mesquite, cool close – medium-long

The bottom line

Fine. Buy the cenizo or San Luis Potosí instead
