Verdict
Grandes Leyendas is Leyendas' curator move, limited bottles from maestros over seventy, intended to make their work visible before the work disappears. It succeeds. At 47% the cupreata isn't negotiating; it's telling you what fifty years of palenque work tastes like. Think of it next to a Real Minero bottle: same reverence, same specificity, a similar argument for naming the hands.
A line built to honor the people who built the category
Tasting notes
Nose: Warm stone fruit, honeyed cupreata
Palate: Dense and ceremonial, the 47% holds weight, and the Guerrero cupreata tilts toward brown-sugar sweetness before the mineral spine reasserts. The liquid reads like it's been lived with
Finish: Long, warm, faintly medicinal
The bottom line
A documentary project in liquid form. Buy when you see it
