Verdict
Coyote is one of the harder agaves to bottle well – undersell the proof and it disappears; overwork the roast and the herbs burn off. Leyendas' version threads it. The expression plays like what we've liked from Cuish's coyote work: alive, slightly unruly, not cleaned up for the consumer. A serious wild-agave bottle that rewards the collector without punishing the shelf budget.

Tasting notes
Nose: Pine resin, wild mint, green tomato, a flash of citrus
Palate: Aromatic and coiled, with the coyote's distinctive high-altitude herbaceousness cleanly on display. The 46.8% is the minimum this agave needs, and Leyendas respected it
Finish: Cooling, mineral. Long
The bottom line
Buy the coyote when you see it – it's not always there
