Verdict
Lola is one of the newer brands where the branding and the liquid are in alignment rather than at cross-purposes. The espadín is modest in ambition but honest in execution, a joven that hits like someone actually tasted it and adjusted. It won't displace your Banhez for everyday drinking, but it's a credible sibling in the under-$50 aisle. A small house doing the small-house thing well.
A workshop espadín, not a spreadsheet espadín
Tasting notes
Nose: Cooked agave. Then warm hay, a soft citrus lift, light smoke
Palate: Cleaner than its price tier suggests, with the 43% giving the espadín just enough structure to stay legible. The hand is light and the intent is visible
Finish: Clean, faintly sweet, medium
The bottom line
A decent everyday pour from a brand worth supporting
