Verdict

Wide distribution usually means proof compromise, and proof compromise kills tobalá first. Los Danzantes has not made that trade here, at ~48% the potatorum signature is correctly lifted and the bottle carries the aromatic structure that separates real tobalá from decorative examples. Not Real Minero's tobalá, but on the same family tree, and easier to actually find on a shelf. A defensible reach.

The distributed tobalá that doesn't lose itself in distribution

Tasting notes

Nose: Honey up front. Wildflower, green apple, a flint note underneath

Palate: Cleanly structured at roughly 48%, with the potatorum's aromatic altitude intact and the palate lifted rather than flattened. Los Danzantes' production discipline is visible

Finish: Drying, floral. Stays long

The bottom line

Widely distributed tobalá with its character intact
