Verdict
Reposado espadín at 40% is the category's most unforgiving format; the wood eats what little structure the base has. Los Javis' version is evidence. The joven sibling at least left the agave visible; the reposado erases it. At this price and proof, Los Cuerudos' reposado is doing markedly more with the same format. There's no case for this one over the Cuerudos.

Nose: Light oak, cooked agave, faint vanilla, cane sugar
Palate: 40% is the ABV that makes this bottle structurally impossible, the barrel flattens what the base can't support. Thin, lightly sweet, forgettable
