Verdict
Four-agave ensambles are almost always a mistake of ambition over editing, but No. 3 is the argument for the format when the producer actually tasted the blend rather than listed it. The tobalá and tepextate carry the aromatic work, the sierrudo and espadín carry the weight, and 47% is the proof that lets everyone stay audible. Think of it next to the best Wahaka or 5 Sentidos ensambles.
Four agaves that actually need each other
Tasting notes
Nose: Wildflower, then honey, cooked fruit, a mineral thread, warm herb
Palate: The tobalá and tepextate lift, the espadín anchors, and the sierrudo adds weight – at 47% the blend lands as a layered architecture rather than an aggregation. Los Nahuales' most ambitious special edition, and it holds
Finish: Aromatic, limestone – long
The bottom line
The ambitious special edition that earned the ambition
