Verdict

Angélica García Vázquez is a maestra whose name we've seen deliver reference-caliber arroqueño and whose cuishe here is a degree quieter than her typical work. The agave is honestly rendered and the proof is correct, but the bottle doesn't reach the intensity that Real Minero's or Lalocura's cuishe achieves. A credible bottling under a maestra's name, at the bottom edge of her range.

A careful cuishe that could carry more muscle

Tasting notes

Nose: Green pepper, wet stone, dry mint, a light smoke edge

Palate: The 48-50% proof range is the working zone for cuishe and the bottle reads correctly sat within it, the karwinskii signature is cleanly present, though the expression feels slightly gentler than we'd expect from García Vázquez's other work

Finish: Drying, vegetal – medium-long

The bottom line

Fine cuishe from a maestra capable of more
