Verdict
Berta Vasquez's four-agave ensamble for Luneta is a composition rather than a compilation, which separates it from most ensambles at this scale. At 47.7% every component has space to speak, and the aromatic leadership from tepextate/tobalá gives the bottle a clear register. Think of it next to the best Rey Campero ensamble work. Buy under the maestra's name.
Four agaves, edited by a maestra who can tell them apart
Tasting notes
Nose: Wildflower, green melon, cool herb, cooked agave
Palate: The tepextate and tobalá carry the aromatic lift, the espadín anchors, and the cuishe adds karwinskii structure – at 47.7% the blend holds its composition without blurring. Berta Vasquez has edited rather than aggregated
Finish: Long, aromatic, mineral
The bottom line
Worth the price for the blend alone with a maestra at the helm. Buy
