Verdict
Commit. Puntas bottles at 65% are usually more about bravado than drinking, but Macurichos has used the still-head cut to produce something legibly complex, the cirial and coyote are both present in concentrated form and neither is overwhelmed by the ABV. Think of it next to the rare Mezcalero or Caballito Cerrero puntas releases. Buy for the format mastery; add water at your discretion.
Puntas as a study of concentration, not endurance
Tasting notes
Nose: Concentrated pine, sharp green pepper, wild herb, warm mineral
Palate: 65% is still-head territory and Macurichos has done the rare thing, delivered a puntas blend where the ABV amplifies rather than drowns the agaves. The cirial's karwinskii vegetal lean and the coyote's pine-herb signature both stay audible
Finish: Enormous, cooling, peppery
The bottom line
Masterclass puntas bottling. Hunt it
