Verdict
Macurichos sits the puntas in glass since 2018 and releases them when the heat has settled into something more like structure. That patience separates this bottle from the shelf of high-ABV novelty releases, hunt it. The ensamble reads clearly through the proof, which is the whole argument for doing it this way.
Puntas patient enough to wait – most producers can't afford that math
Tasting notes
Nose: Dry straw, cocoa nib, warm stone
Palate: Pedro Martinez Sernas pulls the first cut at 55% and it arrives dense, mineral, with the barril-mexicano spine carrying genuine weight under the heat. Glass rest has done the work
Finish: Warming, faintly tannic – long
The bottom line
Worth chasing before the next allocation disappears
