Verdict
Marta and Isaac García's tepextate is what we'd call a fair-weather marmorata, a careful, clean-cut bottle that doesn't break any ceilings but also doesn't embarrass the agave. At 45.7% it's right at the proof floor we'd ask of tepextate. Drink it before Hermógenes Vásquez's for contrast and you'll hear what a half-dozen extra watts of conviction sound like.
Honest tepextate, no heroics
Tasting notes
Nose: Soft white flower with green herb, light mineral
Palate: 45.7% of perfectly legible marmorata, the florals are present but not forward, the stone-fruit mid is clean, the structure is honest rather than heroic
Finish: Dry, floral tail. Stays medium-long
The bottom line
A sensible tepextate. Others here reach further
