Verdict
If you want a tobalá that will outperform bottles at twice its price, the Ramos release at 49% is it. Every floral and mineral note is where it should be, and the refrescador still keeps the potatorum lifted without thinning the mid-palate. This is the tobalá we'd put on any tobalá-curious drinker's starter shelf. Commit.
Tobalá that proves what refrescador can do
Tasting notes
Nose: Honey, white flower, wet stone, warm spice, a whisper of citrus
Palate: 49% of refrescador-pulled potatorum – Emanuel and Victor Ramos make the cleanest-lined tobalá in the Mal Bien catalog, floral intensity anchored by mineral drive, no cut out of place
Finish: Dry, floral-iron-tinged
The bottom line
Commit. A reference Miahuatlán tobalá
