Verdict
The Hernández Lorenzo brothers' tobalá-cuishe blend is a clear improvement on their solo tobalá – the karwinskii's mineral bite gives the potatorum's florals a scaffold to sit on. At 45% the bottle still reads proof-limited, but the blend architecture pulls it up to drinkable. Not a committed recommendation; a qualified one.
The cuishe carries the tobalá
Tasting notes
Nose: Floral, green pepper, wet stone, cooked melon
Palate: 45% of a tobalá-cuishe ensamble where the karwinskii's dry structure gives the potatorum's florals somewhere to stand – more shape than the solo tobalá, still proof-limited
Finish: Medium, floral-dry
The bottom line
A better Mal de Amor blend than the solo tobalá
