Verdict
Tobalá is the agave drinkers pay up for; this Mala Mía release doesn't reward the spend. At 44% the potatorum's floral-mineral drive gets muffled, and the bottle joins the long list of commercial tobalás that exist mostly to put the word 'tobalá' on a menu. Pass, definitively.
Tobalá at 44% – the most expensive way to serve nothing
Tasting notes
Nose: Faint honey with soft mineral
Palate: 44% of copper tobalá that would rather not be noticed, the potatorum character is technically present, the bottle reads commercial
Finish: Short, soft
The bottom line
A skip. Pay more for Mal Bien Ramos tobalá instead
