Verdict
Tepextate from San Luis Amatlán has a reputation it earned, and Casimiro Pérez's refrescador version adds another credible release to the roster. At 47% it clears the proof floor for marmorata and lets the agave's florals do their work. Slightly less layered than Reyna Sánchez's Maguey Melate bottle but of a piece with the village's best. Honor the maestro and pour it slow.

Tasting notes
Nose: Jasmine, crushed melon, wet stone, green pepper
Palate: 47% of refrescador tepextate from the same mountains that produced Hermógenes Vásquez and Reyna Sánchez, the floral intensity is real, the mineral line underneath clear
Finish: Dry, floral-stony. Long
The bottom line
A real San Luis Amatlán tepextate
