Verdict

This is solid single-maestro madrecuishe from Antonio Cortes and Felipe Hernandez, but madrecuishe under 48.5% routinely reads slightly flattened, the agave wants more structure than a polite proof provides, and Memorable's bicuishe in the same range shows what another notch would do. Pour when exploring karwinskii; climb to Memorable Tepeztate or Bicuishe for the line's ceiling.

Half a percent of proof separates a good madrecuishe from a great one

Tasting notes

Nose: Wet straw with limestone, a thin smoke

Palate: 48.4% just clears the floor madrecuishe needs, but the agave's full weight really opens at 49%+ – what you get here is clean, correct, and a step below the producer's bicuishe

Finish: Mineral, gently herbal. Stays medium-long

The bottom line

Pour it. Track Memorable Bicuishe or Tepeztate before this
