Verdict
Mezcal Meteoro is serviceable espadín that doesn't quite punch at its 45% weight, the producer's signature is there but muted. Banhez and Nuestra Soledad deliver more character at comparable tiers; Meteoro is a fair second choice if either is unavailable. A working bottle, not a hunting one.
Honest work at a proof that should deliver more
Tasting notes
Nose: Cooked agave – then banana, light smoke
Palate: 45% with a clean Matatlán profile, but the bottle reads more conservative than its proof would suggest, the mid-palate is sweet and polite rather than structured
Finish: Clean, mild. Medium
The bottom line
Pour if found. Don't go out of your way
