Verdict
Valente Angel García's solo mexicano in the Special Bottling line is as close to a perfect wild-agave release as the Mezcalero series has produced – the right maestro, the right agave, the right proof, a bottle that argues the whole format in a single sip. Sits in the same benchmark-level as Memorable Espadín and Memorable Tepeztate.
The Mezcalero Special Bottling line exists to bottle moments like this one
Tasting notes
Nose: Wildflower, then sweet corn, wet stone
Palate: 47% with mexicano's round, creamy, floral character fully realized – weight and aromatic lift in perfect balance, mineral undercurrent keeping the whole thing grounded
